Session 2 - 10/21/09

En course to touchdown on Athens, the group was waved by a rude and presumptuous port authority officer. Apparently on Athens, you have to wave the port authority before touch down 'else they blast you back to Earth-that-was! In any event, the officer granted them clearance to land without blasting a hole in the ship.

Upon touchdown, the group immediately went about their things. Enyaj and Julas went into town to find themselves a game of pool to make a few bucks. Jetten and Ashley escorted the surveyor/negotiator to the dig site to view the workings before the big negotiation. Lotus found herself a client on Leigh's cortex, and then went into town to find some things to make her room look shiny. Leigh went into town to find some coffee. Marek went into town to buy some brooms (presumably to replace the one she broke previously). Duncan meanwhile guarded the ship.

Lotus Pak
Lotus was able to secure herself a decent client - a merchant that was just passing through. Her room was not dressed up, so she went into town to get some things. Unfortunately where all manner of shiny colors would have been helpful, the town stock seemed to consist of brown. Fortunately Lotus was able to implement shades of brown to give the place some depth.

Marek
Marek went into town to find herself some brooms, and was able to pick up 5 brooms, ignoring the mass of ghosts she saw on the way, in the store, and on the way back. After returning, Marek suddenly found herself in a playground and decided to get on the swing. Meanwhile, Duncan watched as Marek got on a Large Mule and drive it into a wall, injuring herself and damaging the mule. Duncan called Leigh back

Leigh
Leigh found himself some coffee...or well, something brown and wet. After getting the message from Duncan, Leigh rushed back and fixed up Marek while Duncan fixed up the mule.

Jetten, Ashley, and the Surveyor/Negotiator
The three went to the mining operation, were given clearance to enter and issued masks before getting slowly lowered into the mine shaft on a heavy-freight elevator.
