Session 1 - 9/23/09

Ezra - a rim planet located in the Georgia System. Dust, dirt, and lots of nothingness as far as the eye can see. Ezra - known for its dime-a-dozen mining colonies and industrialized mining facilities - is now falling under the control of the Alliance.

Under the lead of Captain Jetten, a team of ex-Browncoats and other alliance-unfriendly individuals find themselves in a pinch with no means to get off that ruttin' rock and a fierce need to git' gone.

The pilot of the group, Julas in a snap decision, decided the best way to get a lift off Ezra would be to get a ship and to do so would require locating a group of low-lives - not so uncommon, especially on Ezra. His first instincts were a game of cards in one of the local bars.

After some searching, Julas came across a group of 5 oriental-lookin' folks playing cards in a back corner of a bar, who had clearly chosen their location for discretion.

Julas sauntered up to gentlemen and got his way into a game of cards. The men were playing a game called Pok Deng, a card game that originated in Thailand on Earth-That-Was. Fortunately for Julas, he happened to know the rules of the game well enough to play. Even more fortunately for the group, Pok Deng is a game of Agility, something Julas was fairly good at.

After winning a few hands and taking the men for a decent pile of cash, he ordered the men a round of drinks and got down to business as he noted Jetten arrive in the bar. After some discussion, one man left, and the others seemed to disregard Julas, except for one, a classier and warmer gentleman, at least comparatively to the others that were playing cards. He spoke of a man called "Sui Gon," the owner of a planet orbiting Ezra, and a large business owner. Julas and Jetten managed to impress upon the gentleman that Sui Gon would be very interested in meeting them.

Success! The mysterious associate of Sui Gon was able to arrange transport in an hours time to the moon! The group packed up their things and prepared for travel.

The shuttle was slender and dark, not the most appealing of ships but functional. This particular station was one of many dozen connecting Ezra to the industrial moon via cables. The moon they were traveling to, known only as the business "Gon Spacecraft Corporation" (GSC) was gradually leaving its orbit with Ezra. Thousands of high-strength cables span the distance between the moon and the planet to anchor the moon to Ezra. This was one of the many shuttles that rode the cables to transport passengers and cargo. The group would soon meet the renown Spaceship Engineer Sui Gon...
